What to Bring
Comfort is the key in packing your personal gear. Mountain weather can be very unpredictable. A good quality rain suit is one of the most important items on the gear list. A duffel bag or soft bag is very convenient for packing trip gear. Rental sleeping bags and pads are not provided unless they have been reserved on the rental form.

If you need any of these items and are unable to purchase them at your home town you may wait and get them in Salmon. You may also call Rendezvous Sports here in Salmon to order anything you need. Their number is (208) 756-4495. I am sure they will be able to help you.
One note, quick drying clothing is best, nylon, fleece, lycra, etc. cotton dries very slow and stays wet and cold.
Try to keep it under 30 pounds per person please. Everything you take on the river has to fit in a "dry bag." These dry bags are about the size of a large lawn garbage bag, 3.8 cubic feet.
